Every one of our studs undergoes comprehensive DNA testing to ensure they are free from genetic disorders and to provide confidence in their compatibility with potential mates. We believe that responsible breeding begins with knowledge, and our dedication to health and quality reflects that belief.

 

One important note:
We do not breed our studs with wheaten-colored Border Collies unless there is clear DNA confirmation that they are not merle underneath their coat. While wheaten is a beautiful variation, a hidden merle gene can result in serious health issues, including puppies born with vision or hearing impairments.

Similarly, we take great care with predominantly white-headed Collies, ensuring they are genetically and structurally suitable before any pairing. Our stud dogs have standard white markings with narrow lines, which greatly reduces the likelihood of pigment-linked risks. However, we still assess each dam carefully, as excessive white on the head can sometimes be associated with genetic or pigment-related health concerns. Protecting the health and well-being of future litters is our top priority, and we remain firmly committed to safe, ethical, and transparent breeding practices.
